NDIS & fees

Clear information before services begin

Funding, fees and service arrangements are discussed before any agreement is made, so participants and referrers can make an informed choice.

NDIS funding

Self-managed and plan-managed participants are welcome

Gold Coast Social Works plans to operate as an unregistered provider at launch and intends to accept enquiries from self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. NDIA-managed funding cannot be accepted unless the necessary provider registration is obtained.

Suitability and funding are considered separately. Having a particular budget category does not mean every proposed service can be funded. The work must be disability-related, goal-linked, within social-work scope and consistent with the participant's plan and the rules that apply at the time.

Before services commence

  • Service fit, goals and likely scope are clarified.
  • The proposed funding or private-payment pathway is checked.
  • Fees, travel, cancellations and payment arrangements are explained.
  • A service agreement and informed consent are completed.

The proposed session rate, current social work support item, price limit, travel charges and cancellation terms must be checked against the applicable NDIS Pricing Arrangements before exact figures or charging conditions are published. Private-payment availability also remains to be confirmed.

Fees and additional charges

Fees will be aligned with the applicable NDIS pricing arrangements. Any eligible charges for travel, reports, non-face-to-face work or cancellations will be explained and agreed before services commence. A detailed service agreement will be provided.

If you are unsure whether a funding pathway may be available, you can make a brief enquiry without sending a full NDIS plan or detailed clinical records.
